19 miles and some drama

Soooo. We did our ride today and ended up going 19 miles instead of 15. The majority of it felt good despite being in the heat. At mile 9 (after two big hills, one I had to walk up) we stopped and got to see a calf castrated and branded. That was cool. Then I stood up. That wasn't cool. I was so sick to my stomach and dizzy. It took my lame ass 30 minutes maybe? to go 3 miles. I had to keep getting off the bike and letting my body get oriented again. At mile 12 we stopped at the Shopette and got some new water and an energy bar for me. We sat there for maybe 30 minutes too. Then I got my second wind, got back on the bike and managed to swiftly move for the remaining 7 miles.

I wonder how much of the drama was just my paranoia that I did something to the baby? I feel fine now, great actually. I came home, laid on the floor and felt the baby move around (I think she's pissed because there is a flurry of activity in there) which made me feel better. I didn't want to kill her or brain damage her or something hypochondriac stupid like that.

Now Darrell is making brunch and then we are going to go to the pool. It is well deserved for the both of us.

Tomorrow's Bike Ride

So...Darrell has his new bike. To celebrate we are going to go on a bike ride tomorrow morning. I plan to do only 15 miles and I know that isn't much to those of you who do 20 miles after work, but guess what? I'm pregnant and getting slow. Blahhahahahaha

And I eat alot.

I'll post later about how it went. Should be smooth because I got a tune up on my bike that I never got after the first month of riding. And Darrell should be speedier than he was on the hybrid so that'll make the ride more pleasurable. Then I plan to come home and make breakfast and nap. Wooooo.

On the baby front:
-I have my big ultrasound Tuesday at 8AM. If I can figure it out I will post a cute picture, because babies are just damned cute.
-I discovered baby registries which is like shopping without spending money. Oh but I walk out of the store empty handed. The satisfaction, however, of tagging barcodes with a handy dandy machine replaces the need to buy things.
-I have started to buy things like diapers, wipes, onesies, and miscellaneous stuff. I bought a baby bath tub today, a two packs of Luvs, and an extra pack of wipes, and 6 onesies.
-Debating the best baby bottle. WTF? I used to debate the best beer.
-I want a beer.

Ugh

So I just saw a picture online of a woman I grew up with. Ugh. Really?
I feel less of a fit woman. It in a weird jealousy woman kind of way has motivated me. I refuse to be a slovenly pregnant woman who in turn remains slovenly once she gives birth. Ugh.

Went on a bike ride recently where I smoked Darrell on his hybrid. He promptly returned the hybrid to Dick's for a full refund and put a Trek 1200 60 cm fit just for him on lay away. We have only $266 left to pay on it and then it is all his.

My bike needs a tune up. I never took it in for its month check up so I've gotta get around to that. Might possibly go for a ride early in the morning just for the hell of it. Darrell hurt his back playing football this morning and is laid up in bed so it'll be me all alone.

I wanted to go to the gym tonight but I was just so tired. And I need to eat better. I've been eating like shit because I felt like I deserved it. I've noticed that Cletus the Fetus' only source of veggies is limited to V8's. I'm a bad mother. Baaaaad.

Now that the worst is over...

My ass is back in the gym. I missed exercising. Greatly.

Whether I like it or not, tight pants are indeed in my future.

So, behold! I'm impregnated.

I got the peddles of my bike changed for the meantime, rather than falling over as I often do...

And I'm bloated all the time.

Got a new Suunto sport watch.

Got internet!!!!

And a bad ass monitor.

Moving Shenanigans

I hate moving. Even if people are hired to do it for me. I find the whole process tiring. Sigh...

I ran yesterday briefly at the fairgrounds. I wanted to bicycle there this evening but I just now got to settle down. My legs ache and I can't think of any reason why they should other than I cleaned my apartment today???????? WTF.

Tomorrow I am going to drive to Ft. Benning to spend a few days with Darrell while he finished up Airborne school. I'm taking the bike and a few sets of exercise clothes with me. I find the contents of my suitcase funny: one pair of jeans, one shirt to go with jeans, one pair of slacks, one shirt to go with slacks, one pair of heels, one pair of boots, 5 sweat wicking shirts, three pairs of sweat wicking shorts, one pair of bicycle shorts, 2 pairs of running shoes, one pair of bike shoes. If I could function in the real world on a day to day basis wearing exercise clothes I would.

I accomplished the once unaccomplishable

I ran an outdoor 5k in 28:06.

I didn't believe it, I took my car and measured it.

Tres awesome.

On the plate for tomorrow is a bike ride before work and then PF Changs after work to undo all the good I've done. I did want the scallops but I think I may go inexpensive and healthy and order the Buddah's Feast which is fancy shmancy for veggie-tables. If that is the plan then I must cut out the Hot and Sour Soup too.

If tight pants are for suckers then pulled back muscles are for morons....

Why yes, I pulled a muscle in my back and it sucks balls. Thank you very much.

Did kinda bad today in the food department, I'm not even gonna write that shit down because I KNOW its bad. Whatever...

21 Deadlifts 155lbs
800 m Run
15 Deadlifts 135 lbs (drop down in weight due to the strain in my back)
800 m Run
9 Deadlifts 135 lbs
800 m Run
24:56 total time.

Not great but not bad considering that it freaking HURT!

My hands are starting to resemble hamburger meat from all the weightlifting. Man hands or something.

I have also planned a bike ride Thursday night, we'll see how that goes.

Oh Wow...

It seems that I forgot about this blog. LOL, three days worth of posts, oooohhhh I sure know how to stick to things!

In the past year I have gotten married, joined a totally badass Crossfit gym www.maxfxcrossfit.com , scored a better job making thousands more a year, decided to one day get pregnant, bought a motorcycle, and just purchased a sweet Cannondale CAAD9 6.

My tip for the day is to unclip both peddles before coming to a stop...
